Description

For sale is our cherished 2007 Ribtec 585 RIB with Mercury Optimax 150 outboard and trailer.

It is located in the secure compound at the Eastney Cruising Association (ECA) Portsmouth so viewing will need to be by appointment to gain access to the compound.

The engine has been maticulously serviced annually by RS Outboards who are a Mercury specialist that race Mercury outboard powered speedboats. We have all of this documented and it has just this week been fully serviced and it runs beautifully as you can see from the video.

Goes like an absolute rocket yet is very quiet and smooth being a V6.

Oil tank is external and located under the seats. We've only ever used Mercury Prem Plus 2-stroke oil.

Stainless steel propeller with no dings, bends or chips.

Raymarine Dragonfly-5 computer fitted which is removable, we don't leave it on the boat when not in use.

The roller trailer has just had new wheels and tires fitted but it will need to have the wheel bearings replaced before towing on the road as it has been used for launching in to the sea on the ECA slipway. The trailer will also need new rollers at some point as the current ones have started to perish. Some of the pictures show the old white wheels but the new silver ones can be seen in one of the images.

The tubes are like new as it has always been kept under cover. The canvas cover comes with it too.

The fuel tank has been kept empty as we do not like to run old fuel through it and we only use Esso premium petrol to avoid the issues associated with ethanol in fuel nowdays.

The reason for the sale is that we have upgraded to a pilothouse weekender and can't justify having two boats but would otherwise loved to have kept it as we know how well we've looked after it.
